Speaking Engagements
Due to his age and involvement with government, nonprofits, civic and political groups, and theatre, Josh is often asked to attend different functions and events as a speaker or a performer. Josh does his best to accommodate all requests, but the sooner they are made, the more likely they are to fit into his schedule. Please contact Josh today if you would like him to speak or perform at your function!
Wedding CeremoniesAs a Justice of the Peace in Connecticut, Josh is able to legally sign marriage licenses and preside over wedding ceremonies. Couples are responsible for visiting the town hall in the municipality where the ceremony will take place, and Josh as the Justice is responsible for ensuring the document is thoroughly completed and for safely returning it to the municipal clerk to legally document the marriage. Josh books wedding ceremonies on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is able to provide a variety of ideas and examples of wedding ceremony scripts if couples want ideas and are having a hard time deciding for themselves. Please contact Josh today if you would like to book him as a Justice for your wedding!

*Items marked with an asterisk are non-negotiable; by having Josh arrive to complete the wedding ceremony, the couple agrees to pay $150.00, at minimum, for the service of being married and having their marriage license filed with the proper municipal clerk. Connecticut requires that the Justice of the Peace return the marriage license, not the couple, so there is no way to avoid the certified mailing/delivery fee. Items without the asterisk are optional or dependant on decisions made by the couple.
The Wedding Ceremony Fee includes assistance in creating a script for the ceremony. Josh has sample scripts that can be shared with the couple, and from there they can tailor the script together to arrive at a ceremony structure that makes the couple happy.
Note: Couples are responsible for obtaining their marriage license (from the municipal clerk in the town/city where the wedding ceremony will take place) prior to the day of the ceremony and for covering any fees levied by the municipality. The Justice of the Peace is NOT responsible for the initial obtaining of the license or any fees that are due to the municipality for the issuance of the license.
