Josh's Positions & Platform

Josh has previously run for office as a member of the Green Party and Democratic Party with endorsements from the UAW and AFT Connecticut. Presently, Josh is currently active with the Waterford, CT Democratic Town Committee and volunteers for the Yankee National Party. He values democracy, empathy, and sustainability, and promotes policies and practices that align with those values.

Campaign Management & Political Strategy

Josh is very proud to have served as the Campaign Manager for Baird Welch-Collins (D) as he ran for State Representative in Connecticut's 38th District (Waterford & Montville) in 2018 and also as the Campaign Manager for Mirna Martinez (G) as she ran for State Representative in Connecticut's 39th District (New London) in 2019. Mirna's campaign in particular broke records for public campaign financing thresholds and vote tallies for third party candidates in a very difficult race against multiple major-party candidates. Josh also successfully managed the campaigns of nine municipal Green Party candidates in Waterford in 2017, seeing seven of those nine elected, he himself receiving the highest portion of votes for his district on the Waterford Representative Town Meeting.

Professional Municipal Leadership

Unrelated to Josh's work as an elected official, he has also professionally served as the Town Administrator in Bolton, CT and as the Town Manager & CEO in Winchester/Winsted, CT. These are professional positions where he has been responsible, on a full-time basis, for the management and operations of the respective towns for which he worked.
