Josh Kelly for Board of Finance - 2025
Waterford's Only Independent Candidate
|
Josh is running to be re-elected to the seat that he currently holds on the Waterford Board of Finance. As a former town CEO and given his extensive education in the area of public financial management, Josh is among the most qualified individuals in Waterford who could hold a seat on the Board of Finance, and he wishes to give back to the town that he loves so much by helping to steward its finances. Josh's name will appear on Line C, as he is running separate from and opposed to the two-party system.
The Board of Finance is a volunteer position; Josh nor any of his fellow Board members receive any type of compensation for the work they put into this position. |

Unrelated to Josh's work as an elected official, he has also professionally served as the Town Administrator in Bolton, CT and as the Town Manager & CEO in Winchester/Winsted, CT. These are professional positions where he has been responsible, on a full-time basis, for the management and operations of the respective towns for which he worked. You can read more about his successes and activities in those roles on his resume. His professional work in these areas makes him an ideal candidate to help manage Waterford's finances.

Josh is a former union member (UAW Local 6950) and is a strong supporter of workers' rights.
While kindly offered by some of the unions that have endorsed him, Josh and the Yankee National Party on the whole reject donations from such groups; we support labor rights innately, and we do not believe it is appropriate to create the appearance (real or imagined) that unions are favored by the YNP or by Josh because of their financial contributions. The YNP and Josh also reject donations from corporations and billionaires, relying solely on support from individual donors like you. Josh was asked to speak at a 50501 rally in Hartford, CT at the Connecticut State Capitol on Labor Day about some of his beliefs - you can see the full speech here! |
